My
name is Doug Kelley and I built Mystic Music Recording Studio mainly to record
my own songs. However, I want to also help other artists too.
My studio is a well-equipped facility that will help you to produce your music to realize your own goals and dreams. I have some excellent recording equipment, mics, outboard gear, and instruments. My baby grand piano looks and sounds beautiful.
I focus on keeping rates low and assisting artists in producing a recording for which they can be proud.
I will do the engineering, but you are free to assist or do it yourself. I do not charge additional fees for engineering, mixing, or mastering beyond the hourly rate. I use Chosen Masters Online Audio Mastering Engine for mastering, but you are also free to have someone else do the mixing and/or mastering if desired.
STUDIO RATES
$30 per hour, 4-hour minimum per day. Full amount due upon arrival. Hourly rate includes setup, studio time, mixing, mastering, and breaks. There are no hidden charges or surcharges. Time is billed from scheduled arrival time to departure. I do not stop the clock for late arrivals. Please arrive at the scheduled time.
Additional hours: $30 per hour. Hours can always be added on the spot if you exceed the initial hours purchased. Payment for additional hours is due at the time of extension.
Cancellation Fee: $30
I do not accept credit/debit cards at this time; cash only, payable upon arrival.
Refunds: No refunds are possible for used time or unused time below the 4-hour minimum.
Session Musicians: You must arrange for and pay for any session musicians outside of your agreement with this studio.
Song Rights: You maintain all intellectual property and copy rights for your recording, tracks, mixes, and masters. We do appreciate an honorable mention in your credits: "Recorded at Mystic Music Recording Studio in North Port, Florida."
Bring a thumb drive with you so you can take your files and finished song with you. We will maintain a backup copy should you ever need it.

INSTRUMENTS
You are welcome to bring your own instruments, or you can use mine at no additional charge. I have a drum set, congas, and bongo drums. You can bring your own drums or just your cymbals/stands, or you can use my keyboard workstation for drums.
